What is MDI?
Mount Desert Island (MDI) is the largest island off the coast of Maine
How Far are you from Acadia National Park?
Our houses are located about 45 minutes away from the Park. Traffic conditions can affect travel times.
What is there to do in the area?
ALOT! Hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, and exploring to name a few.
Do I need a car to get around?
A car is recommended to explore the area. There is Downeast Transportation bus services and The Island Explorer shuttle service.
Can I book more then 1 house?
Yes, it is possible to book more then 1 house. Please reach out if you have questions regarding the location or proximity of available houses.
Can I host an event?
We have the perfect place for you! Event space is available in Bucksport and Orland. All Events must be pre-approved. Contact us to get started!
Do you allow pets?
The Orland House is pet friendly with pre-approval. All pets must be up to dates with shots and flea and tick preventative. There is a $100 pet fee per stay. Please reach out and let us know if you plan on bringing a pet.
